In Silk Screen Class students will engage in various screen print techniques. Students will work on project singularly and in small group. This is a semester class. This Core Class will use and expand upon previous knowledge. To enter this class a student is expected to have these core art skills: 1) Drawing skills 2) Knowledge of Color Theory. This class will incorporate drawing skills, color theory, principles of design and develop your abilities,, as well as incorporate your creative skills through various printing processes.
PROJECTS / WORK REQUIRED
A) Students will participate in small studies that will introduce them to specific printing processes.
B) Students will complete a variety of studio assignments that will demonstrate their knowledge specific printing techniques.
C) Students will be required to keep a digital diary of the production of each image they produce. At the end of the semester each student will be required to assemble a digital portfolio of his or her work.
D) Please note (subject material) images to work from is the responsibility of the student. You will need to put together a collection of images you are interested in.
